• Our tools process your files in your browser tab. Your files and file names aren't sent to our servers or to anyone else.
• Google Analytics runs only if you accept analytics cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.
• There are no accounts, and this website has no upload service.
• Vercel, which hosts the site, receives standard request data, such as your IP address and browser type, when you load a page.

Who we are

Greatest File Tools (greatestfiletools.com) is operated by Greatest Ventures LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“we”, “us”). You can reach us about privacy at privacy@greatestfiletools.com. We aim to reply within 7 days and to complete data requests within 30 days.

Your files

Every tool on this site processes your files in your browser tab. Your files, their names and the results aren't sent to our servers or to anyone else. Copies of your files and results aren't saved on this device, apart from what you download. The site stores your cookie choice, plus Google Analytics cookies if you accept them. Closing the tab clears the files from the tab's memory.

Each tool page has a “What happens to your file” section with the details for that tool, and How Greatest File Tools processes your files lists the libraries each tool uses, when they download, and how we test it.

What we collect

Analytics, only if you accept

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It records the pages you view and how you use them. On September 29, 2026 we observed these fields in its requests: the page address and title, a random ID stored in a cookie, a session ID and session count, whether the session was engaged, your screen size and browser language, browser and device details your browser reports (brand, version, platform and device model), the event name, and technical settings of the tag. Google also receives your IP address with each request; Google says it uses IP addresses to estimate location and doesn't log or store them for users in the EU.

The site's tag turns off Google signals and ad personalization. In our Google Analytics settings, Google signals is off too, and so is granular location and device data collection, so Google Analytics doesn't keep city-level location or detailed device data such as the device model. Google Analytics doesn't receive your files or file names. If you click Reject, or don't choose, Google Analytics isn't loaded.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. When your browser requests a page or file, Vercel receives standard request data: your IP address, browser type (user agent), the address requested and the time. Vercel uses it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The request logs available to us in Vercel's dashboard are kept for a limited time set by our Vercel plan (at most 30 days).

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix problems you report. Mail to privacy@greatestfiletools.com passes through Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards it to our Gmail mailbox.

Cookies and similar storage

The site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. This is everything it can store:

Cookie durations are the defaults Google lists in its Google Analytics cookie documentation. Clicking Reject later deletes the _ga cookies from your browser.

Services we use

• Vercel hosts the site and receives the request data described above. Vercel's privacy policy.
• Google provides Google Analytics, which runs only if you accept, and the Gmail mailbox that receives emails you send us. Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare runs our domain's DNS and forwards emails sent to privacy@greatestfiletools.com; it handles the message on its way to our mailbox. Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Tool libraries and fonts are served from our own domain, so using a tool sends no requests to any company other than Vercel, and Google if you accepted analytics.

Advertising

We don't show ads today. Before ads appear, we'll update this policy and ask for consent where required. The site publishes an ads.txt file because we may apply to Google AdSense; that file doesn't load any ad code.

No upload service

This website has no upload service. Every tool runs in your browser, and none of them sends your files to a server.

Children

This site is for a general audience and isn't directed to children under 13. There are no accounts, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent and think your child sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us at privacy@greatestfiletools.com and we'll delete it.

Your choices and rights

• Analytics: use Cookie settings above to accept or reject at any time.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you haven't made a choice, we treat it as Reject and don't show the banner. You can still opt in with Cookie settings.
• Access and deletion: email privacy@greatestfiletools.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted. We aim to complete these requests within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights.

Making a data request

There are no accounts and we don't ask who you are, so we usually can't link data to a particular person. We only see names or email addresses when you write to us. Analytics data is tied only to the random ID in your _ga cookie. To have your analytics data deleted, include that ID in your email; you'll find it in your browser's site data for greatestfiletools.com. For emails you sent us, tell us the address you wrote from.

How long data is kept

• Your files: not kept by us. They stay on your device.
• Google Analytics data: 2 months. That covers event data and data tied to your _ga cookie ID; if the same browser comes back, the 2 months restart from its latest visit. Most standard reports in Google Analytics are built from aggregated totals, which this setting doesn't delete.
• Hosting logs: as described under Hosting logs above.
• Emails: in our mailbox until you ask us to delete them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS; plain HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS. Its pages send headers that stop other sites from framing them and stop browsers from guessing file types. Because we don't receive your files, there are no copies of them on our servers. No website can rule out every risk; if you find a security problem, email privacy@greatestfiletools.com.

Changes to this policy

We'll describe any new data collection here before we turn it on.
