What image formats can I convert to ICO?

PNG, JPG/JPEG, SVG, WebP, GIF, and BMP are all supported.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. The converter runs in this browser tab using the Canvas API. Your images aren't sent to our servers.

What sizes are included in the ICO file?

You can choose from 16×16, 24×24, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 128×128, and 256×256. By default all sizes are included.

Can I remove the background before converting?

Yes. It can remove the background by flood fill from the image borders, a colour you pick, or flat fills inside shapes and text, then feather and smooth the edges; a manual brush erases or restores areas by hand. It has no edge detection or AI cut-out.
